The advertised amount is the least useful number on a bonus offer. What decides its value is the wagering requirement — and four other clauses that nobody mentions.

The calculation that reorders every list

Divide the bonus amount by the wagering requirement. A €500 offer at 45x needs €22,500 wagered before anything can be withdrawn; €200 at 20x needs €4,000. The smaller offer is more than five times easier to clear.

The four clauses that void bonuses

Maximum stake. Bet above the limit while a bonus is active — typically €5 per spin — and the entire bonus can be cancelled, winnings included.

Game weighting. Slots count 100 %, table games often 10 % or nothing.

Time limit. Most bonuses expire in 7 to 30 days.

Withdrawal cap. Especially on no-deposit offers: win €500 and you may still only withdraw €50.
